Role Overview

The Backoffice Executive for Bharat Business Loans is responsible for supporting branch operations through accurate documentation, loan processing, customer coordination, system entries, and compliance adherence. This role ensures smooth endtoend processing of business loan files while coordinating with sales teams, credit, operations, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Loan Processing & Documentation

  • Handle end-to-end processing of Bharat Business Loan applications.
  • Verify customer documents (KYC, financials, income proof, business proof, etc.).
  • Check all forms, agreements, and annexures for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper scanning, uploading, and indexing of documents in LOS/LMS.
  • Prepare disbursement files and coordinate with the credit team for approvals.

2. Branch Operations Support

  • Maintain loan registers, MIS reports, disbursement logs, and daily dashboards.
  • Coordinate with central operations for file status, discrepancies, and approvals.
  • Manage customer records and ensure secure, systematic filing.
  • Assist in disbursement activities, including checking compliance and documentation.

3. Customer Coordination

  • Communicate with customers to collect pending documents or clarifications.
  • Provide updates to customers and sales teams on file movement.
  • Resolve documentation-related queries promptly.

4. Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure all processes follow RBI guidelines, internal policies, and regulatory norms.
  • Support internal/external audits by providing required files and documents.
  • Check for AML/KYC compliance and report discrepancies.

5. System & Data Management

  • Perform accurate data entry in loan origination and management systems.
  • Ensure timely updating of status, remarks, and loan progress in systems.
  • Manage branch-level reports, tracker updates, and monthly MIS submissions.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation, KYC norms, and compliance rules.
  • Good understanding of business loans, MSME lending, and branch operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Credit, Ops).

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Qualification: Graduate (B.Com / BBA / BA / Any Graduate).
  • Experience: 1-4 years in backoffice operations, preferably in Banking/NBFC.
  • Experience in MSME/Business Loans operations preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • TAT (Turnaround Time) for file processing.
  • Accuracy of documentation & system entries.
  • Compliance adherence and audit scores.
  • Reduction in discrepancy cases.
  • Cross-team coordination efficiency.
