Our client is a leading global healthcare company is seeking an experienced Backend Interface Developer to support interface development, subsystem integration, and application lifecycle management within a complex enterprise healthcare landscape. The role will focus on backend software development, interface monitoring, regression testing, and technical documentation within an agile SCRUM environment.
This is a remote position, provided the candidate operates within a similar European time zone. This is a contractual role which will run through 2026. The candidate must be flexible to work in the client's preferred time-zone, which is CEST.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and document backend interfaces and integrations
- Perform regression testing and support quality gates for interface validation
- Monitor interfaces and ensure operational stability
- Support data structure migrations and backend transformations
- Write automated tests and maintain testing frameworks
- Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms
- Provide operational support and maintenance for interfaces/applications
- Contribute to agile SCRUM ceremonies and sprint deliverables
- Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation
Requirements
- Strong backend software development expertise (5+ years)
- Advanced knowledge of Java (Java 21 preferred)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Experience with Web Services (REST & SOAP)
- Experience writing automated unit tests
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
- Experience working in Agile / SCRUM environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP BTP
- Experience with (t)RFC Server integrations
- Knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring Security
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with tools such as Cypress, Swagger, or similar testing tools
- German language proficiency (for documentation/log interpretation)
