We are looking for a backend engineer with 2.5+ years of experience to design, build, and scale robust backend systems and APIs. You will collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure services that power our platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Python.
- Work on system architecture, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with frontend teams (React, Next.js ) for seamless integrations.
- Manage and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity.
- Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.
- Deploy and manage backend services on AWS.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements
- 2.5+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and/or Python.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Working knowledge of React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with AWS and version control systems (Git).
- Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimisation, and system design.
Good To Have
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Strong understanding of API design patterns and best practices.
- Familiarity with data modelling and query optimisation.
- Experience building high-throughput or low-latency systems.
