Role Description
This is a full-time opportunity as a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Python and Node.js. The role involves designing, building, and optimizing backend systems, ensuring scalability and performance. Key responsibilities will include developing software, implementing APIs, and data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain backend services and APIs
- Build scalable, high-performance systems
- Work with asynchronous and event-driven architectures
- Implement queue-based systems for task processing
- Optimize database performance and schemas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ensure reliability, monitoring, and fault tolerance
- Contribute to system architecture decisions
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or Node.js
- Experience with asynchronous programming
- Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ / BullMQ / Similar systems)
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Experience building scalable distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms
- Understanding of API design
Good to Have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field from a Tier 1 institution
