Backend Developer
Looking for someone
- Capable of maintaining and enhancing a complex system that processes millions of records from EHR systems on a daily basis be eager to serve as a primary point of contact for both technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders.
- Be someone who is interested in working with a small team and gaining the mastery of the system required to push it to new heights

Responsibilities
- Navigate a node backend stack comprised of dozens of micro-services
- Work with an active system processing millions of events per day
- Create and support new workflows to empower healthcare organizations to streamline processes in patient engagement.
- Identify and solve complex performance and scalability issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide valid feedback to ensure best practices in relation to style guidelines, accuracy, testability and performance.
- Provide tier 3 ENG support to triage product issues and debug/track and resolve issues in a timely manner by keeping all stakeholders apprised.
- Work with cross-functional teams including product managers, technical support, quality assurance engineers, customers and third party vendors
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant experience building and development of scalable production quality backend systems
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments, distributed/parallel systems, micro-services architecture and data ETL systems
- Experience in NodeJS or similar programming languages
- Experience working with RabbitMQ or similar queuing systems
- Experience working with MongoDB or similar database technologies
- Experience building and shipping high quality, reliable and scalable code
- Experience improving stability through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
- Be familiar with modern development processes (agile, kanban etc)
- Experience collaborating with both cross functional internal teams and external customers
