Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Java Microservices Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, cloud-ready microservices. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and distributed systems, and will contribute to architecture, development, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Apply best practices for microservices architecture, including service decomposition, fault tolerance, and scalability.
- Implement security, logging, monitoring, and exception handling across services.
- Perform code reviews, refactoring, and performance tuning.
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and ensure efficient data access.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and mentor junior developers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 812 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of Microservices architecture (service discovery, configuration, resiliency).
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka / RabbitMQ.
- Experience with databases : Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, OOP, and clean code principles.
Good To Have
- Cloud experience on AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Knowledge of API Gateway, service mesh, and distributed tracing.
- Experience with security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
- Exposure to performance and load testing.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions.
Education
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
