About The Opportunity
We are hiring a hands-on Java Backend Developer to join an engineering team delivering resilient, high-throughput backend services. You will design, build and operate Spring Boot microservices, integrate with databases and messaging layers, and help automate CI/CD and observability for mission-critical applications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot following microservices patterns and RESTful API standards.
- Build and maintain data access layers using Hibernate/JPA and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Integrate services with messaging systems and third-party APIs; implement reliable retry, idempotency and error-handling strategies.
- Containerize applications with Docker and collaborate on deployment automation and environment configuration for onprem/cloud targets.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and drive improvements in code quality, observability and incident response.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps) to deliver features on schedule and mentor junior engineers on backend best practices.
