What You'll DoAs a Backend Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and scaling our backend systems.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, modular backend services
- Building RESTful APIs with a focus on scalability and security
- Managing data with SQL, writing optimized queries, and schema design
- Architecting and deploying services in a microservices environment
- Using message brokers for async communication
- Implementing caching for performance optimization
- Writing unit, integration, and API tests
- Containerizing apps with Docker, deploying via CI/CD pipelines
- Deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS
- Monitoring and debugging systems using logging and APM tools
- Participating in design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of dev workflows
- Following best practices around API versioning, rate limiting, and observability
What We're Looking For
- 0 2 years of backend development experience
- Strong foundation in Java, Spring boot and / or .NET (C#)
- Solid understanding of SQL, PostgreSQL preferred
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, service orchestration, and inter- service communication
- Experience with messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
- Knowledge of caching layers (e.g., Redis, Memcached) for performance tuning
- Experience in building, testing, and documenting REST APIs
- Working knowledge and hands on experience of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and metrics collection
- Bonus: Exposure to C#, .NET Core, or Azure is a plus
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
