Backend (Data-migration) Engineer | Bangalore

You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in configuring and supporting software solutions, including troubleshooting and problem-solving with a logical and analytical approach.

Work with REST APIs: help set up, test, and document API endpoints and integrations.

Support the development and maintenance of configuration files, environment settings, and application parameters.

Collaborate with engineers to ensure correct system behavior and data flow between services.

Participate in testing activities to validate configurations and API responses.

Document configuration steps, best practices, and troubleshooting guides for team use.

Communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements and report progress or issues.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

6-10 years of experience in software development, IT support, or application configuration.

Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and how to interact with them (e.g., using Postman, curl, or similar tools).

Strong logical and analytical thinking skills able to break down problems and follow step-by-step processes.

Familiarity with JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration purposes.

Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Experience with basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) or automation tools.

Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

Interest in learning about observability, monitoring, and security best practices.
