Job Overview

We are looking for a Backend/Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks and SQL to build and manage our clinical data infrastructure. In this role, you will design robust ETL pipelines, establish core patient data foundations, and develop automated Data Quality (DQ) frameworks to ensure highly accurate, production-ready healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Engineering: Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and SQL.
• Patient Data Foundation: Structure and set up secure, compliant data foundations for handling sensitive patient metrics.
• Data Quality (DQ): Design and implement automated DQ frameworks to continuously validate, clean, and monitor data health.
• Testing & Optimization: Conduct rigorous unit and integration testing of pipelines to ensure zero data loss and high performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Primary Tech Stack: Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with Apache Spark/Databricks.
• Core Capabilities: Strong backend development logic, ETL pipeline architecture, and data validation testing.
• Domain Plus: Prior experience dealing with healthcare data, patient registries, or life sciences frameworks is highly preferred.
