J.D/Profile to be offered in detail:

Backend developers at Growth Jockey are entrusted with designing, developing, and deploying the core logic and functionality of web applications. This encompasses server-side programming, database management, and system integration. Your role demands proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, PHP, and Python, along with expertise in database systems like MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL. During onboarding, you'll receive training to bolster technical prowess and behavioural competencies in accordance with defined proficiency levels outlined in the Expectation Framework. Additionally, you'll gain familiarity with organisation-specific tools and methodologies, while honing communication skills to excel within the company's standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deploy scalable backend solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between the frontend and backend systems.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance the functionality of our applications.
• Develop and maintain databases, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect sensitive data.
• Conduct thorough testing of backend systems to identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge of web development frameworks (e.g., Django, Spring Boot, Express.js).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies in backend development.
