Position Overview:
We are hiring a Backend Developer Intern (ASP.NET) to join our core engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining server-side logic, database interactions, and API layers of our web applications. The ideal candidate has experience with the Microsoft tech stack and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core and C#.
- Develop, document, and consume RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend components.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
- Work with SQL Server or other relational databases for data modeling, migrations, and optimized queries.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Implement unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews to ensure reliability and robustness.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in staging and production environments.
- Ensure application security, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth), and data protection best practices.
- Follow performance, scalability, and observability best practices across services.
Requirements:
- Strong programming skills in C# and ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (EF/EF Core) and LINQ.
- Proficient in working with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Experience with authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, Identity).
- Bonus: Experience with Azure/AWS, microservices, or containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 13 years of experience in backend development (or strong internship/project experience for junior roles).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a remote environment.
