Role Summary (SME Style)

As the Azure Infrastructure SME, you will own the complete Azure environment for the SOLE & Optimus platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and zerofailure operations. You will serve as the technical authority for Azure infrastructure, guiding teams, defining best practices, and driving endtoend cloud operations, automation, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities (SME-Level)

Platform Ownership & Reliability

• Act as the primary SME for SOLE & Optimus Azure infrastructure.
• Ensure uninterrupted platform performance with minimal/no infrastructure failures.
• Define standards, guardrails, best practices, and ensure compliance across the environment.
  
  

Azure Infrastructure Deployment & Automation

• Architect, deploy, and manage Azure components using CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and maintenance using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and templates.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and optimization efforts.
  
  

Monitoring, Optimization & Troubleshooting

• Implement enterprisegrade monitoring using Azure Monitor and other observability tools.
• Analyze system performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Optimize cost, performance, and resource utilization across Azure workloads.
  
  

Security, Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Implement DR strategy, backups, and data protection mechanisms for business continuity.
• Work with security teams to enforce identity, access, network, and data controls.
  
  

Azure Services Expertise

Lead deployment and management of the following services:

• Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts
• Azure Active Directory
• Azure Application Gateway
• Azure PostgreSQL DB
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure Container Instances
• Azure Event Hub
• Azure Key Vault
• Azure Blob Storage

Documentation & Governance

• Maintain detailed documentation: system architecture, configurations, SOPs, standards.
• Define infrastructure guidelines, governance rules, and compliance checks.
  
  

Technical Guidance & Support

• Act as SME for crossfunctional teams and project groups.
• Provide expert support to resolve infrastructurerelated issues quickly and efficiently.
• Mentor engineers and guide them on Azure best practices.
