Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure AKS Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm chart development, and CI/CD pipeline implementations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with end-to-end automation using YAML, GitHub Actions, and DevOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure AKS clusters for scalable and secure application hosting.
- Develop, customize, and maintainHelm chartsfor microservices and platform components.
- Build and optimizeCI/CD pipelinesusing GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Write and maintainYAML configurationsfor Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, secrets, and other resources.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for AKS environments using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
- Manage container lifecycle using Docker and registries (ACR/GitHub Packages).
- Ensure security compliance, RBAC, secret management, and network policies in AKS.
- Collaborate with development, cloud, and automation teams for efficient release cycles.
- Troubleshoot issues related to AKS workloads, pods, networking, pipelines, and dependencies.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience withAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Expertise inHelm chart creation, templating, and packaging.
- Solid understanding ofKubernetes conceptsdeployments, pods, services, ingress, HPA, namespaces, RBAC, config maps, secrets.
- Proficient inCI/CD using GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps.
- Strong command overYAML scriptingfor Kubernetes and pipelines.
- Good knowledge ofDocker, container management, and image optimization.
- Experience withAzure cloud services(ACR, VNet, Key Vault, Monitor).
- Familiarity withGit, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Terraform/Bicep for IaC.
- Exposure to Istio/NGINX ingress controllers.
- Knowledge of security tools like Trivy, Aqua, or Prisma.
