Azure DevOps Architect

Role Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Azure DevOps solutions to streamline development and deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure Pipelines or other relevant tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to enhance product delivery efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and optimize resource usage for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Ensure application security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Lead DevOps transformation initiatives and implement best practices across teams.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical bottlenecks and issues in CI/CD and infrastructure processes.
• Document architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Stay current with new Azure technologies and DevOps advancements.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions on DevOps tools and practices.
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, feedback, and promote collaboration.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and agile sprint activities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering or related roles.
• Proven hands-on experience with Azure DevOps services and tools.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and deployment strategies, preferably in Azure.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Experience working with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed or remote team environment.
• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Software development background is an added advantage.
