Azure DevOps Architect

The DevOps Architect (Azure) is responsible for designing and governing the Azure based DevOps platform that enables secure, automated, and scalable software delivery across the enterprise. The role involves deep knowledge of Azure cloud services, CI/CD engineering, infrastructure automation, AKS, and DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and manage the Azure DevOps platform, including Azure DevOps/GitHub, AKS, ACR, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.

Design and enforce platform standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures.

Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and deployment strategies.

Implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform/Bicep and establish policy as code with Azure Policy.

Drive platform reliability with monitoring, logging, and performance baselines.

Integrate security into all stages via Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and RBAC controls.

Partner with engineering and security teams and provide technical leadership and guidance.

Mandatory skills

Strong expertise in Azure services (AKS, ACR, VNET, Key Vault, Azure Monitor).

Advanced CI/CD experience in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Proficiency in Terraform/Bicep, Kubernetes, scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).

10+ years in DevOps/Cloud/Platform engineering, with 3+ years in architecture roles.

Solid understanding of networking, security, and DevSecOps practices.

Desired skills

Azure certifications (AZ 305, AZ 400).

Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD).

Experience with enterprise landing zones and regulated environments
