We are seeking an experienced Azure Database engineer with expertise in database migration to join our team As the Azure Database Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing database solutions using Azure data services and technologies as well as leading database migration projects Ability to take challenges and try to multi task whenever work demands 6 years of experience in database architecture and design Design and implement database solutions using Azure data services and technologies Lead database migration projects heterogeneous and homogeneous databases including migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL SQL to SQL SQL to PostgreSQL migrations Strong experience with Azure data services and technologies including Azure SQL Database Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Data Factory Develop and implement Azure automation scripts and tools for database deployment maintenance and monitoring Work with development teams to deploy database solutions to Azure Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of Azure data services with other systems Maintain up to date knowledge of Azure data services and technologies Implement and maintain database security backup and recovery solutions Develop and implement strategies for database performance optimization and scaling Create physical models from logical models based on the functional requirements Perform current state data quality assessment and recommend data standardization approach Perform assigned duties in data quality and data governance processes Provide guidance and support to Application Developers Assist with schema design code review SQL query tuning Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades Process works accurately and in a timely manner Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements Collate prepare and present statistical information for internal and external use Easily design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code Implement and manage company data management practices and policies Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts Good understand database design implementation troubleshooting and maintenance Great interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Certifications Affiliations Any DBA certification Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field L1
