We are looking for an experienced Azure Architect to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technology leader with deep experience in Azure architecture, cloud migrations, governance, security, and automation. Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is mandatory. The role involves working closely with both onsite and offshore teams to deliver best-in-class cloud solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures using Azure services.
- Lead cloud migration strategy and execution from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure
- Develop and enforce cloud governance, security, identity, compliance, and cost optimization frameworks.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (mandatory) and other automation tools to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, design documents, and deployment playbooks.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance across development and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (business, security, dev, ops) to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, reliability, cost, and security using Azure tools and best practices.
- Mentor, coach, and enable offshore and onsite technical teams on Azure practices, patterns, and standards.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud architecture and implementation, including
compute, networking, storage, security, identity, and monitoring.
- Mandatory hands-on expertise with Terraform for IaC to automate Azure resource
provisioning and configuration.
- Proven experience with cloud migrations, hybrid cloud environments, and enterprise-scale solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of cloud security, governance models, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and architectural decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and
stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering Graduate (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT) Bachelor's/Master's.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent Azure certifications (highly desirable).
- Experience with advanced Azure services such as AKS, Logic Apps, API Management, Functions, and hybrid cloud patterns.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Experience in financial services (BFSI), enterprise transformation, or large consulting environments.
- Knowledge of security compliance standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR) and secure cloud design principles.
- Prior exposure to leadership of global distributed delivery teams (onsite & offshore)
