Architecture Design:
- Design cloud-based solutions using Azure services that meet business, security, and operational requirements.
- Design and architect Wintel solutions, including Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Develop high-level and detailed design documents, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Evaluate existing architectures and make recommendations for improvements or migrations to Azure.
Implementation and Deployment:
- Lead the implementation of cloud solutions, including configuring and deploying Azure resources.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of Windows Server platforms, including clustering, virtualization, and storage solutions Ensure that all cloud solutions comply with best security, performance, and scalability practices.
- Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates
Security and Compliance:
- Design and implement security measures for Azure environments, including identity management, access controls, and data protection strategies.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams and collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Monitoring and Optimization:
- Set up monitoring and alerting for Azure resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize Azure environments for cost, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Innovation and Continuous Learning:
- Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions that leverage new Azure features and services.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure. Experience with IaC tools like ARM templates, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or CLI tools. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
