Role Summary
We are seeking a
Senior Search Technology Developer to revamp and modernize the enterprise
search platform. The role focuses on enhancing
search relevance, performance, and accessibility, enabling business users to quickly access accurate and up-to-date information.
You will work closely with
Product Owners and Technical Leads to build scalable, AI-powered search solutions using
Azure AI Search and Python, while ensuring production stability and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesSearch Platform Development
- Develop and enhance features in the enterprise search platform.
- Implement and optimize search indexing, querying, and relevance tuning using Azure AI Search.
- Improve search experience through performance tuning and scalability enhancements.
AI & Intelligent Search
- Apply GenAI and semantic search concepts to improve search accuracy.
- Work with structured and unstructured data for efficient indexing and retrieval.
- Enhance search ranking, filtering, and relevance models.
Backend Development & Data Handling
- Develop backend services using Python (Java is a plus).
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for search ingestion and updates.
Testing, Deployment & Support
- Perform unit testing and validation.
- Manage deployment activities and document deployment processes.
- Provide UAT and production support.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate across teams to deliver search enhancements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills Core Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and Azure AI Search.
- Proficiency in Python development.
- Solid understanding of search technologies (indexing, ranking, querying, relevance tuning).
Database Skills
- Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
AI / Search Concepts
- Knowledge of GenAI and semantic search techniques.
- Understanding of information retrieval and search optimization.
Engineering & Delivery
- Experience in unit testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong experience in root cause analysis and debugging.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills
