Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Azure Administrator to manage and maintain our Microsoft Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, monitoring, securing, and optimizing Azure infrastructure while supporting application teams and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Load Balancers.
- Manage Azure Storage Accounts, App Services, and other Azure PaaS services.
- Administer Azure Active Directory (AAD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and identity management.
- Implement and manage Azure Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud resources.
Security & Governance
- Implement and manage Azure Policies and governance controls.
- Configure Azure networking security including NSGs and Firewall rules.
- Monitor security posture using Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
Monitoring & Operations
- Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerts.
- Perform regular system health checks and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational best practices.
Automation & Collaboration
- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates / Terraform).
- Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams.
- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 25 years of experience in Azure Administration, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS services).
- Experience in Azure Networking, Virtual Machines, Storage, and Identity Management.
- Knowledge of Azure Backup, Disaster Recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Proficiency in PowerShell (mandatory) and Azure CLI for automation tasks.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices, RBAC, policies, and governance controls.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates / Terraform good to have).
- Exposure to container services such as AKS (good to have).
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), or similar certifications are preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
