We currently have an
Assistant Manager position available with our client, Azets in the Quality, Risk and Compliance division.
Role Overview
To support the UK Compliance Director and Senior Manager in assisting the ongoing improvement of our internal quality and risk systems, processes and compliance and minimisation of regulatory risk. Awareness of and practical experience in the areas of AML / Investment Business / Practice Assurance / Client Money Regulations pre requisitee with good working knowledge of FCA regulations a benefit.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Point of consultation for ethical and regulatory queries
- Point of consultation for letter of engagement queries
- Respond to queries on the firm's ticketing system
- Support and improve Firm's regulatory functions
- Support processes for consistent Practice quality and regulatory processes in the UK
- Support the M&A process and integration into Azets group entities
- Work with the wider compliance team and predominantly the Senior Manager
- Update compliance policies, procedures, guidance and ensure the compliance intranet page is kept updated
- Undertake monitoring reviews and checks to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Provide support to our people on compliance-related matters.
- Complete reporting and communications to regulatory bodies.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and ensure the practice adapts accordingly.
- Ad hoc project work
Skills & Experience
- Would need a minimum of 3+ years experience in risk management, compliance, legal or a related area
- Qualified CA preferred but not essential.
- Experience in FCA/ACCA regulated firm is desirable.
- Has proven experience in a Risk & Compliance support role.
- An understanding of regulatory bodies and their requirements.
- Has excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication to support the business.
- Ability to communicate and work with stakeholders at all levels of the business including Team peers
- Comfortable in a data enabled environment
