OSIis seeking an experienced AWSWorkspaceVDI desktop support engineer to supportourenterprise instances of Virtual Desktops in Amazon Workspaces (cloud) desktops environments, by serving as an integral part of a team to primarily support administration, implementation, testing, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
This position will be involved in delivering and supporting a technical solution for Amazon Workspaces. It requiresexpertisein setting up, configuring,deployingandsupportAWS/VDI throughout the enterprise.
The Engineer will provide operational and end user support for the AWS Virtual Desktop environment andparticipatesin the development and implementation of operational procedures and standards.
4-6Years Experienceof VDI technology implementation for large-scale VDI deployments
Responsibilities
- Defines the Windows desktop images standards, deployment methods and use of supporting tools and technologies: Infrastructure storage, networking, servers, load balancing, etc.;Anti-virus, Patching and Profile management.
- VDI Management
- VDICreation,VDIDeletion,VDI Re-creation,VDIRestart
- Application Support
- Support new application install, existing applicationupgrade/removal, monthly patching, GPO, AD groupmembership, AV install/update etc. on workspaces.
- VDI Administration
- Updating VDI master/base images
- Procure AWS Licenses
- Creating local admin account in the VDI
- Build Windows 10 machine from scratch on VMWare
- User experience monitoring, single sign on, Performance troubleshooting, Endpoint management (thin clients, mobile devices, etc.)
- Develop andmaintainOS Standard Operating Procedures for AWS end user Environment
- Works on automating system procedures and processes to evolve the technology in the organization.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with Virtual AWS workspaces, software, communications devices within established procedures, responds to End User requests for technical support andassistance.
- Interfaces with vendors and other IT Groups to ensureappropriate resolutionduring network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Coordinate any application changes with stakeholders within the framework of a Change Request system and Review process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Cloud support experience, deployment, and maintenance
- Advance-level skills with AWS Workspaces virtual desktop technologies
- Amazon Workspaces VDI desktops experience
- Virtual software provisioning skills (desired: AWS and VMware).
- Virtual Desktop Administration preferably using AWS Management console.
- Virtualization Infrastructure ExperiencedesiredAmazon Workspaces administration console
