Role Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines using AWS services.
- Develop ETL processes to process large volumes of data.
- Create and maintain data models to support data analysis.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Optimize database performance and query efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
- Integrate data from various sources into a unified data warehouse.
- Collaborate with data analysts to ensure data accessibility.
- Implement data governance best practices.
- Create documentation for data systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in data engineering.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team programming standards.
- Provide technical support to team members as needed.
- Ensure compliance with data security regulations.
- Assist in the migration of on-premise data to AWS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services (e.g., S3, EC2, Redshift).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations.
- Certification in AWS solutions is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
