Powering Data Platforms for Global & US P&C Insurance Customers
We are expanding our Data & Analytics Engineering practice and are looking for AWS Data Engineers across levels to build and scale cloud-native data platforms for leading global and US Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance customers.
Locations: Hyderabad | Pune | Coimbatore
Roles: Software Engineer (SE) | Senior Software Engineer (SSE) | Lead Data Engineer
Role Overview
As an AWS Data Engineer, you will design, build, and operate enterprise-scale data lakes and analytics platforms on AWS, enabling data-driven decisioning across underwriting, claims, pricing, and analytics for P&C insurers.
You will work on high-volume, high-complexity insurance datasets, collaborating closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud-native data pipelines on AWS for insurance data platforms
- Develop and optimize ETL / ELT workflows supporting policy, claims, underwriting, and billing data
- Build and manage AWS data lakes with strong focus on data quality, lineage, security, and performance
- Translate business and analytics requirements into scalable, production-grade data solutions
- (For Lead roles) Own technical design, architecture decisions, code reviews, and team mentoring
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services, including:
- Amazon S3 (Data Lake)
- AWS Glue (ETL / ELT, Catalog, Crawlers)
- Amazon Redshift, Athena
- Lambda, EMR
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning
- Hands-on exposure to Spark / PySpark is a strong plus
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar
Experience Levels
- SE: 24 years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platforms
- SSE: 47 years with strong hands-on AWS data engineering ownership
- Lead: 7+ years with experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and leading teams
Domain Advantage (Nice to Have)
- Experience working with P&C insurance data domains (Policy, Claims, Billing, Rating, Underwriting)
- Exposure to US or global insurance customers is a strong advantage, though not mandatory
