Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices.
  • Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, CloudFront.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, security, and scalability of cloud environments.

Automation & DevOps

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployments, configuration, and operational tasks.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).

Security & Compliance

  • Implement AWS security best practices including IAM policies, VPC security, encryption, and access controls.
  • Support compliance requirements and security audits.
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and apply remediation.

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with application developers, SRE, and platform teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, incident management, and on-call support (if applicable).
  • Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Hands-on with Terraform / CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps workflows.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups).
  • Experience with Git and version control.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).
  • Exposure to cost optimization and FinOps practices.
  • AWS Certifications (Associate/Professional).

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ownership mindset with attention to detail.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
