Role Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The AWS Cloud Architect will act as the technical authority and SME for migrating LEADING GLOBAL TECH COMPANY treasury products from on‑premise data centers AWS Cloud.

This role is responsible for cloud readiness assessment, target‑state architecture design, migration strategy definition, and technical governance, ensuring the migration is secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with LEADING GLOBAL TECH COMPANY enterprise standards.

They will work closely with SRE, Infra, DBA, Network, Product, and CX teams and plays a critical role in technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and cutover success.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

  • Own end‑to‑end AWS target architecture for LEADING GLOBAL TECH COMPANY applications (single‑tenant & multi‑tenant).
  • Design secure, scalable, and highly available AWS architectures aligned to AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
  • Define landing zone assumptions, networking, IAM, security tooling, monitoring, and governance model.
  • Ensure architecture supports future modernization, though current scope is lift‑and‑shift and modernization.

Migration Strategy & Technical Feasibility

  • Perform cloud readiness and feasibility assessment for applications and databases.
  • Prepare the readiness plan for lift and shift and modernization based on products.
  • Validate supported versions, identify upgrade needs where cloud support is mandatory.

AWS Services & Tooling

  • Lead use of AWS native tools only, including:
    • AWS Migration Hub
    • AWS Discovery tools
    • Native AWS monitoring and security services
  • Ensure compliance with LEADING GLOBAL TECH COMPANY constraints
Collaboration & Technical Governance

  • Act as SME from the product team for architecture and migration decisions.
  • Review and guide SRE / DevOps teams on:
    • Infrastructure provisioning (IaC‑based)
    • Environment setup and deployments
    • Cutover planning and rollback strategies
  • Participate in technical design reviews, risk assessments, and go/no‑go decisions
  • Testing, Cutover & Handover
  • Ensure architecture supports functional, performance, and integration testing post‑migration.
  • Guide near‑zero / minimal downtime cutovers.
  • Support hypercare and handover to LEADING GLOBAL TECH COMPANY Cloud Operations / CX teams.
Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

  • 10+ years in infrastructure / cloud architecture with strong AWS focus
  • Proven experience in large‑scale AWS migration programs
  • Deep hands‑on knowledge of:
    • EC2, VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB
    • RDS (Oracle / SQL Server)
    • EKS / containerized workloads
    • Security, networking, and monitoring on AWS
  • Strong understanding of lift‑and‑shift migration patterns
Migration & Enterprise Experience

  • Experience migrating mission‑critical enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with financial services / regulated environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HA, DR, backup, compliance, and cost optimization

Certifications (Preferred)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional / Associate
  • AWS Migration or Security specialty (nice to have)

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder communication with clients, product teams, and leadership
  • Ability to explain complex architectures clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Ownership mindset with high accountability in delivery‑critical roles

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Reports into Program / Technical Leadership
  • Works closely with:
    • SRE / DevOps Engineers
    • Infra & Network Teams
    • DBAs
    • LEADING GLOBAL TECH COMPANY CX & Product teams
    • Technical Project Managers
