AVP – Software Development (Team Lead)

We are hiring for one of our Client who is in to Mutual Fund Industry and looking for a AVP – Software Development (Team Lead) with 8+ years of experience in development

Roles and Responsibilities :

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to head our development function, with strong expertise in PHP Laravel and proven experience in leading development teams and driving project delivery. This role requires someone who can actively contribute to coding and architecture, while also managing team performance, task prioritization, project coordination, and ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge, team leadership skills, and a process-oriented approach, along with a strong focus on innovation, automation, and delivery acceleration.

● Drive end-to-end development using PHP Laravel with focus on quality, scalability & performance.

● Collaborate with frontend, mobile & DevOps teams for smooth delivery.

● Guide the team on best practices, coding standards & architecture decisions.

● Own project planning, task allocation & delivery tracking.

● Ensure seamless collaboration with business, QA, infrastructure & external partners.

● Continuously optimize processes to improve delivery speed using automation & reusable components.

● Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations, IT audits, VAPT, and data security requirements.

● Mentor and upskill the team, driving technical excellence and innovation culture.

Qualification & Experience

● Bachelor's / Master's in Computer science, IT, or related field.

● 8+ years of experience in development, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.

● Certifications in Laravel, DevOps, or Project Management are a plus.

● Technical: PHP, Laravel, MySQL, API Development (REST/SOAP), Git, DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Cloud).

● Bonus: ReactJS, VueJS, Flutter/React Native (basic knowledge).

● Process: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and IT governance.

● Domain: Experience in BFSI/FinTech/regulated sectors (preferably SEBI-regulated).

● Leadership: Team management, task prioritization, cross-functional collaboration & performance monitoring.

● Innovation Focus: Process optimization, automation, and reusable components to speed up delivery.
