Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an AVP - Legal, based in Mumbai. The role involves providing expert legal advice on investment transactions (structured financing and VC), and addressing legal issues that arise in connection with real estate and financing transactions. Other responsibilities include liaising with external counsels for due diligences, drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing corporate governance, and ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and policies. The role requires working in close coordination with stakeholders, external law firms, and relevant departments within the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of banking and finance laws and transactions.
- Strong knowledge of real estate sector and title due diligence
- Proficiency in conducting thorough due diligence and analyzing legal aspects of business and financial transactions, especially within the real estate sector.
- Experience in providing sound legal advice and handling legal issues effectively to mitigate risks and support business operations.
- Knowledge of finance-related legal requirements and regulations (including IBC, SARFAESI, etc).
- Ability to draft, negotiate, and review contracts and other legal documentation with precision and attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Law degree from a recognized university and relevant certifications. Experience in the real estate sector and understanding of affordable housing policies are advantageous.
