Job description:
Purpose of the Job:
- To operate and enhance Finance and Accounting function at International Business Unit (IBU), GIFT City, Gujarat.
- To maintain books of accounts, reconciliations, daily control activities, Head office / regulatory reporting, periodic Financial statement preparation and audit handling.
- To manage Direct and Indirect tax compliances
- To prepare all the prudential reports in line with IFSCA regulation.
- To understand and prepare HO finance ratios and explain the management as well as supervisor whenever required.
Job Responsibilties:
- Financial Accounting, Taxation, Regulatory reporting and Risk.
- Maintain books of Accounts including postings, managing daily controls includes Bank reconciliation etc.
- Preparation of Financial Statements [JGAAP and IFRS]
- Manage audits/ external reviews like statutory audit, review by regulators etc
- Preparation and submission of Head office related reports.
- Manage all direct and indirect tax compliances, as applicable, for the IBU
- Mange periodic reporting to IFSCA and any other regulators, as may be required
- Liaise with advisor/external consultants and internal stakeholders
- Prepare Credit / Market/ Liquidity / Operational Risk Reports in line with IFSCA and HO rules
Profile description:
(a) Knowledge – IFRS and Indian tax laws
(b) Skills – Strong Communication and analytical skills, good negotiation skills and decision-making abilities in ambiguous situation, Discipline related to timeline/deadline adherence and punctuality, MS- excel proficiency
(c) Experience – 5-10 years of experience, in Banking/ Financial services, Foreign/India Banks, exposure to IFRS, working knowledge of taxation including international Transfer pricing, understanding of Bank Financial statements and products, experience of working in a cross-cultural environment.
(d) Qualifications –Preference to CA and/or higher equivalent qualification in Accounting / Taxation, IFRS certification, FRM/ any other equivalent qualification
