About The Role
Steer is looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional with a passion for transport to join our India office as an Aviation Consultant with preferable experience in the airports traffic forecasting, business planning, and/or
transaction advisory. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that works on a wide variety of high-profile transportation projects, including traffic and revenue studies for toll roads, ridership forecasting for transit, E-mobility, rail projects, transportation economics and finance studies, and strategic planning.
In the aviation sector, we provide consulting services to evaluate strategic business and policy implications. We leverage our extensive global experience to support infrastructure development, facilitate private sector investments, business growth and regulatory assessment, helping clients navigate complex aviation environments. You will work as part of a global team spanning across India, UK, Europe, North America, and LATAM providing solutions to both private and public-sector clients, including investors, operators and concessionaries within the infrastructure sector.

The ideal candidates will have interest in consulting and infrastructure advisory with a familiarity of key issues and approaches to quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Candidates will need to be well-rounded, with interests across all aspects of professional consulting including data analysis, report writing and presentation, project management and business development and be able to evidence the following experience and capabilities:

- Supporting business development in India and overseas

- Contributing to technical discipline development activities
1.8. This position requires an enthusiastic, hard-working person, who wants to be part of our growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will be required to:
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including the use of spreadsheet modelling and other tools, to solve complex problems in consultancy or client environments
- Communicate clearly and confidentlyboth in writing and verballyespecially when translating technical concepts for nontechnical audiences
- Manage multiple deadlines, parallel tasks, and project requirements while maintaining high standards of quality
- Lead project workstreams with limited supervision, applying bestpractice methodologies consistently
- Manage multidisciplinary projects, subconsultants, and support staff assigned on a project basis
- Take ownership of projects throughout their lifecyclefrom initiation and feasibility studies to final client deliverables
- Prepare and present highquality reports, proposals, briefing notes, and design documentation
- Collaborate respectfully and transparently with colleagues across the business to deliver highquality consulting services
- Support consultants in delivering advisory services across India and global offices

Requirements
Desirable education background and skills required for this role:
- Educated to master's or bachelor's degree level (2:1 or equivalent) in one of the following disciplines:
- Economics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, or other numerate subjects
- Transport Planning, Geography, or other transport-related fields
- Demonstrable interest in the aviation sector with experience of at least 2 years
- Strong data analytical skills e.g., data manipulation/analysis, basic statistics and econometrics using a range of software packages (MS Excel, Stata, SPSS, R) including an ability to analyse and draw insight from the data
- Knowledge of aviation business (including traffic forecasting or business modelling)
- Strong report writing and communication skills including:
- ability to back up opinions with well-constructed, evidenced arguments; and
- ability to confidently explain complex analysis to non-specialists via reporting and presentations
- Ability to use Microsoft packages, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Good team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines and with different cultures and across time zones
