Primary Title: Selenium Automation Engineer
About The Opportunity
A leading staffing & HR services provider specializing in IT staffing and software quality engineering for enterprise clients. We place high-impact engineering teams that deliver robust, scalable automation solutions for web and API platforms. This is an on-site role based in India focused on designing and executing test automation using Selenium and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable Selenium-based automation frameworks using Page Object Model and best practices.
- Create and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and API validation across web applications.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to enable scheduled and gated test runs with quality gates and reporting.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to translate requirements into test strategies and actionable test cases.
- Troubleshoot test failures, triage defects, and work with engineering to ensure timely resolution and stable releases.
- Continuously improve test coverage, performance, and maintainability by introducing reusable components and automation metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Proven hands-on experience automating web applications using Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong programming skills in Java and experience with TestNG or JUnit.
- Experience building and managing automation projects with Maven or Gradle and version control using Git.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD integrationJenkins pipelines, test reporting, and automated triggers.
- Experience with REST API testing and validating services as part of end-to-end automation.
- Familiarity with test design patterns (Page Object Model) and debugging automated test failures.
- Preferred
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and writing feature files.
- Hands-on with Selenium Grid or cloud-based cross-browser platforms for parallel test execution.
- Basic SQL knowledge for validating backend data and test-driven diagnostics.
