About the Team:
The Banking Technology team within the Front Office Technology tower is responsible for technology platforms, applications, support, and development aligned with the needs of the Investment Banking and Capital Markets management function while maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnership with the broader IT organization.
Summary:
In this role, you will serve as a Quality Assurance and Test Automation specialist supporting Front Office Banking and Capital Markets technology platforms. You will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies across complex, data‑driven applications, ensuring functional accuracy, system reliability, and high‑quality releases.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, and functional testing within Banking / Financial Services / Capital Markets environments.
- Proven experience working on enterprise‑scale applications with structured testing processes and stakeholder engagement.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with programming and automation technologies, including:
- Java
- C#.NET
- TypeScript
- Extensive experience in test automation, with strong proficiency in:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Solid experience working with databases, including:
- MongoDB
- PostgreSQL
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis.
- Experience with API testing and validation using tools such as:
- Postman
- Familiarity with logging and debugging frameworks such as Log4j.
- Working knowledge of Git‑based source control and CI/CD pipelines, including:
- Git
- GitLab
- Jenkins
- Experience with browser‑based testing tools and cross‑browser validation techniques.
- Comfortable working in Linux / Unix environments for log analysis and troubleshooting during testing cycles.
Testing & Quality Assurance Expertise:
- Strong expertise in manual testing, including:
- Test strategy and test planning
- Test case design and execution
- Defect tracking and root cause analysis
- Preparation of comprehensive test execution and summary reports
- Strong automation testing experience, including:
- Automation feasibility assessment
- Writing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites
- Improving test coverage, scalability, and performance of applications
- Hands‑on experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD) concepts.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools, including:
- HP Quality Center
- ClearQuest
- qTest
- TestRail
- Experience preparing and maintaining:
- Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Methodologies & Delivery Practices:
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Ability to translate business and functional requirements into detailed test scenarios and technical test specifications.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall delivery models.
- Proficient in using JIRA for defect management, test tracking, and collaboration with development teams.
Domain Knowledge:
- Domain experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, or Retirement platforms.
- Familiarity with Front Office business flows, data dependencies, and integration touchpoints used in banking technology platforms.
Client & Stakeholder Interaction:
- Strong experience in client interaction and customer engagement, including:
- Requirement walkthroughs
- Test reviews and defect discussions
- UAT and Beta testing support
- Ability to work closely with business users, developers, and QA teams to drive high‑quality outcomes.
Communication & Team Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with:
