Software Developer

Cradlepoint is looking for a skilled Software Developer who is eager to be involved in all phases of the software lifecycle. You will be responsible for delivering work packages and functionalities that meet customer requirements, demonstrating strong abilities in coding, scripting, integration, and verification across the entire solution delivery lifecycle. We encourage our developers to continuously learn, share new ideas, and promote automation across teams.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Software Architects to build solutions aligned with ADM demands and requirements documentation.
• Analyze customer needs from Low-Level Design (LLD) documents and recommend appropriate solutions based on predefined strategies.
• Develop implementation proposals based on design specifications, utilizing various development tools.
• Ensure software components meet target requirements by performing thorough unit testing of software programs.
• Prepare release notes for subsequent stages, provide signed CPAs, and merge packages effectively.
• Document code and updated workflows to facilitate easy maintenance and understanding.
• Perform unit/basic testing of software programs and automation, ensuring foundational quality.
• Perform component testing of software programs, including bug fixing, and provide essential support to the system testing phase.
• Follow good security coding practices to ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities.
• Fix bugs across identified environments such as IAT, SIT, UAT, and Production.
• Focus on ALM platforms, build tools & frameworks, orchestration technologies, unit & functional test tool integration, and deployment automation technologies.
• Support and/or participate in acceptance procedures and tests.
• Make necessary changes on Jira in a timely manner during the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Support go-live activities in collaboration with the operations team.

What You Will Bring: Required Qualifications

• An adequate degree in computer science or related disciplines; or relevant industry experience in software development.
• Have an analytical mind and be able to follow processes and work independently with minimal assistance.
• Relevant experience in technical troubleshooting, coding, and updating existing code.
• Configuration management experience.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate.
• Experience with Web Services.
• Knowledge of Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Good experience with IP Technologies.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies.
• Familiarity with AGILE Methodologies.
