Automation Tester

Required Skills and Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing, with strong expertise in Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver using Java.
• Proficiency in Java programming, including OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and basic coding.
• Hands-on experience in API Testing using REST Assured and Postman.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, request and response validation.
• Experience in BDD framework using Cucumber and Gherkin syntax.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM) and Hybrid Framework.
• Good understanding of TestNG or JUnit testing frameworks.
• Experience in Maven/Gradle for build and dependency management.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and test result analysis.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Perform API automation testing using REST Assured.
• Implement BDD-based automation scenarios using Cucumber.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, track, and report defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test execution results, troubleshoot failures, and provide timely feedback.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, and continuous improvement activities.
