Automation Test Lead

• Awareness and understanding of retail business, wider audience, and economic/market environment in which the group operates.
• Understand Agile software development processes, change and release management practices.
• Apply strong development and testing life cycle knowledge.
• Take ownership and responsibility for managing workload and timely deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients for all testing-related activities.
• Communicate effectively and manage project tasks efficiently.
• Escalate risks/impediments to the Scrum Master as needed.
• Conduct follow-ups with stakeholders during test planning, preparation, and execution phases.
• Send daily status reports with accurate test execution and defect metrics to the Scrum Master.
• Participate in project meetings and provide feedback/statistics related to test quality.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Automated Testing, Selenium, Appium, Gherkin/Cucumber, and JMeter.
• Minimum 5+ years of testing experience.
• Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Proficient in tools like Postman, Rest Assured, and SoapUI.
• Experience in API automation using Java.
• Familiarity with SQL for database validation and hands-on with Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of API documentation tools like Swagger.
• Ability to develop, execute, and maintain test cases for APIs.
• Skilled in identifying, logging, and tracking defects collaboratively with developers.
• Capable of writing test plans, cases, scripts, and reports.
• Perform API performance testing using JMeter.
• Understand API security standards including authentication and authorization testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality.
• Expertise in BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
