Role Description
This is a full-time on-site/Remote role in Ahmedabad for an Automation Tester at OneClick IT Consultancy P Ltd. The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to identify issues in software applications. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with development teams, analyzing system requirements, creating detailed test plans, troubleshooting defects, and preparing test reports. Ensuring product quality and improving testing processes will be key priorities in this role.
Qualifications
- Expertise in automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, test case creation, and debugging
- Proven ability to conduct performance testing, regression testing, and integration testing
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools (e.g., JIRA or Trello)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus
Job Description
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Design and enhance automation frameworks using industry best practices (POM, BDD, data-driven).
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Participate in requirement analysis and identify test scenarios for automation feasibility.
- Track, analyze, and report test results; log defects with clear steps and evidence.
- Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure end-to-end quality.
- Maintain test documentation, scripts, and reusable components.
- Support regression testing and ensure high test coverage.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and automation trends.
Required Skills- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium.
- Proficiency in Java / Python / JavaScript (choose the relevant language).
- Experience with API testing tools: Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.
- Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and version control (Git).
- Solid understanding of testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience with SQL for basic database validation.
- Ability to debug issues and identify root causes.
- Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
