About the Role
The QA team is part of Charles River Development (CRD), a State Street company, delivering highquality, scalable solutions across CRD and CRPM platforms. This role focuses on automation leadership, quality engineering excellence, and crossfunctional collaboration.
Who We Are Looking For
An experienced Automation Engineering Lead (AVP level) with 15+ years of experience to provide senior leadership in QA automation and quality engineering. The role combines deep handson automation expertise with the ability to influence teams, guide technical direction, and partner with Engineering and Product stakeholders.

This role scales QA effectiveness by strengthening automation practices, improving release confidence, and ensuring quality is embedded across the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive QA automation strategy aligned with CRD and CRPM objectives
Lead design, evolution, and governance of UI and API automation frameworks
Provide technical leadership on automation best practices and quality standards
Partner with Engineering, Product, and Architecture teams on quality expectations
Oversee test planning, risk assessment, and quality metrics
Review automation results and drive rootcause analysis and continuous improvement
Mentor QA engineers to improve technical depth and execution quality
Support critical releases, complex issue analysis, and clientimpacting investigations
Ensure adherence to QA standards, SDLC controls, and audit/compliance requirements

Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in software QA with deep focus on automation
Strong handson experience in UI and API automation
Proven experience designing and scaling automation frameworks
Strong understanding of TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD frameworks
Proficiency in Java
Strong manual testing, test strategy, and riskbased testing experience
Experience working in Agile/Scrum at scale
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have
Performance testing experience
Experience testing largescale enterprise or financial platforms
Familiarity with Jira, test management tools, and quality metrics
