Automation Engineer – Selenium
Note;- This is 6 month contractual role and its a onsite opportunity for Pune Location with one of my global client.
Job Summary:-
We are seeking an experienced Senior Selenium Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The candidate should have strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, designing and managing test suites, automation framework development, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.
- Define and manage comprehensive automated test suites for functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation scripts.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and troubleshoot automation issues.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks based on evolving application requirements.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, test strategy, and automation roadmap activities.
- Generate test execution reports and communicate results, risks, and defects to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices and coding standards.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Proven experience in defining, designing, and executing automated test suites.
- Strong experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or similar.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong experience with Git/version control.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with API testing/automation.
- Experience with parallel execution and cross-browser testing.
- Knowledge of Cucumber/BDD frameworks.
- Exposure to Docker and cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience with test reporting and CI/CD quality dashboards.
- Previous experience mentoring QA engineers or leading automation initiatives.
