About the Role:
We are hiring an Automation Engineer to support automation design, programming, and commissioning for powder process and technology solutions. The role requires strong leadership, customer focus, and hands-on expertise in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. This position involves significant international travel for commissioning and client support (up to 50%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Functional Specifications for automation projects.
- Design hardware and software architecture for control systems.
- Program PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and prepare detailed specifications.
- Perform hardware configuration, panel testing, software setup, and system integration.
- Execute, test, and validate automation systems.
- Prepare operating manuals and documentation.
- Deliver automation training to customer teams.
- Conduct onsite testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning (international travel required).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation roles, preferably in an international environment.
- Strong understanding of food/dairy processing equipment; experience in powder handling preferred.
- Proficient with PLCs (Siemens or Rockwell), SCADA systems (Aveva, Ignition), and Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, reporting).
- Experience with MES systems, virtualization, and industrial network integration.
- Working knowledge of ISA-S88 and S95 is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
