We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Automated QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications.
The candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Department is a critical component of any organization, ensuring that products and services meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. QA Engineers play a vital role in this department, working closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality processes throughout the development lifecycle.
Main purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the Automated QA Engineer role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and defect-free software by designing and executing automated test solutions. The role focuses on improving product quality, increasing testing efficiency, reducing manual efforts, and supporting faster release cycles through automation.
Quality Assurance Engineer works to ensure that products being built and processes being used adhere to all standards and requirements. As a key function in our engineering organization, QA engineers are responsible for identifying and eliminating defects in the products and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (Must Have) for web automation testing.
- Strong experience in Substack / API automation stack (Must Have).
- Strong knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using automation frameworks and tools.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects.
- Strong knowledge of Playwright automation framework
- Experience with Substack or similar API automation toolkit
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
- Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum environment).
- Perform adherence & quality audits
- Perform project execution Milestone Checks
- Point of contact / Linking pin between MDG/projects, FQB, Service, CCs, technology
- Reporting/Dashboarding of various process & quality KPIs
- Identify and implement improvements (Process Map)
- Train/Support the MDG team using Project Portal/KPI/omnitracker, etc.
- Align with business improvement managers who own & maintain the process map on the corporate level
- Align with the Vanderlande QA community on the use of corporate data and quality systems
- QA QC process implementation
- Quality Assurance throughout PDLC stages
- Quality Audits for all projects
- Repository monitoring maintenance
- Quality improvement planning.
Skills and Experience :
- Perform quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Experience with programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Experience in creating and executing system level test plans, test cases and test reports for large/complex projects.
- Exposure in developing complex test automation scripts and/or automation frameworks.
- Experience with API testing.
- Experience with postman, jira.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
- Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.
- Development experience including design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of test automation in Python, Java.
