AutoCAD Draughtsman creates 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and detailed plans from sketches to support engineering and architectural projects. They use AutoCAD software for precise modeling and must possess strong knowledge of engineering principles to assist in construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Technical Drawing Generation: Translating conceptual designs into, detailed, and accurate technical drawings.

Software Utilization: Creating 2D/3D models and layouts using AutoCAD, including using features like polar tracking for precision.

Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to refine designs.

Revisions and Updates: Modifying existing drawings and ensuring all project documents are up-to-date.

File Management: Properly saving and managing drawing files (e.g., .BAK files).

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D), and sometimes complementary tools like SolidWorks or Revit.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of drafting principles, engineering standards, and architectural layouts.

Education: A diploma, ITI certificate, or degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.

Attention to Detail: Ability to create precise, accurate drawings with correct dimensions
