Primary Responsibilities
- Manage complete accounting and bookkeeping processes in compliance with Australian accounting standards
- Prepare and evaluate financial statements and management reports
- Oversee compliance with Australian taxation requirements including BAS, GST, PAYG, and Income Tax returns
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, and balance sheet entries
- Provide assistance during audits and coordinate with external accountants or auditors
- Ensure adherence to Australian financial regulations and submission deadlines
- Support activities related to financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
- Maintain precise financial records utilizing accounting software
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certified or pursuing CPA Australia / CA or equivalent qualification
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation laws
- Practical experience handling Australian clients/accounts
- Familiarity with BAS, GST, payroll processing, and tax submission procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within outsourcing, KPO, or accounting firms servicing Australian clients
- Capability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines effectively
- Detail-focused with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting
