Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with experience in Australian accounting processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, hands-on bookkeeping experience, and proficiency in Xero.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day Australian bookkeeping activities
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare BAS, IAS, and GST reports as required
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Work on month-end closing activities and financial reporting
- Liaise with Australian clients professionally and handle their queries effectively
- Support the senior accountant and team in accounting tasks
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Australian accounting
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Xero and hands-on experience with bookkeeping
- Knowledge of MYOB will be an added advantage
- Understanding of Australian taxation rules (BAS, GST) is preferred
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field
- Additional accounting certifications are an advantage
