Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with experience in Australian accounting processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, hands-on bookkeeping experience, and proficiency in Xero.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage day-to-day Australian bookkeeping activities
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare BAS, IAS, and GST reports as required
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Work on month-end closing activities and financial reporting
  • Liaise with Australian clients professionally and handle their queries effectively
  • Support the senior accountant and team in accounting tasks
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Australian accounting
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Xero and hands-on experience with bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of MYOB will be an added advantage
  • Understanding of Australian taxation rules (BAS, GST) is preferred
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • Additional accounting certifications are an advantage
