Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits at branch level focused specifically on gold loan operations.
  • Verify compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) on gold appraisal, vault management, disbursement, interest collection, and closure.
  • Monitor adherence to RBI regulations, KYC/AML norms, and internal compliance policies.
  • Perform surprise audits, gold purity validation, and physical safety checks of gold stock and storage infrastructure.
  • Identify procedural lapses, risks of fraud, or non-compliance and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and present detailed audit reports highlighting risks, observations, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and maintain follow-up reports on implementation status.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, Operations, and Compliance departments to strengthen internal controls.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification: Graduate (preferably in Commerce), CA Inter, or MBA in Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in gold loan audit/operations with a bank, NBFC, or gold finance company.
  • In-depth knowledge of gold loan practices, gold purity assessment, and vault security norms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing gold loans and financial audits.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, audit tools, and documentation/reporting systems.
  • Willing to travel extensively within Odisha for field audits.
