Description
The Assurance Sr. Associate 1 - Nonprofit & Education will be responsible for providing high-quality audit and assurance services to our clients in the nonprofit and education sectors. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with clients and our internal team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and assurance engagements for nonprofit and education sector clients.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist in the evaluation of internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their operations and provide tailored assurance services.
- Identify areas of risk and develop audit plans to address them.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in audit or assurance services, preferably in the nonprofit and education sectors.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with audit software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
