Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Software Project Manager to join our project management team. In this role, you will assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of software development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. You will work closely with the Project Manager, team members, stakeholders, and clients to support project goals and facilitate effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Support in coordinating project activities and resources, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Help monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including meeting minutes, status reports, and change requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in project meetings, contributing to discussions on project strategies, scope, and timeliness.
- Support the quality assurance process by assisting in testing and validation of software deliverables.
- Help track and manage project budgets and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in software development or technology-related projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
- Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Scrum Master is a plus.
- Experience in creating project documentation and reports.
