Job Description

We are hiring Manager-Media Relation & Client Servicing for Chandigarh location.

Manager-Media Relation & Client Servicing acts as a bridge between their employer or client and masses. They establish and maintain good-natured, cooperative relationships with the news media, consumers, government, local communities and other public-interest groups.

Manager-Media Relation & Client Servicing uses a wide range of media to build and sustain a good image for a company, organization or brand through planned publicity campaigns and PR activities. The goal is to drive sustainable growth to the PR Department and forging strong relationships with clients.

Desired experience: 3 to 4 Years

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Journalism or Mass Comm. or PR

Joining: Immediate

The Basic requirements

  1. 3-4 years of experience in handling Chandigarh Media is a must
  2. Excellent communication skills
  3. PR and working in agency background will be preferred
  4. New Business process participation
  5. Pleasant personality

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Define the objectives and targets of PR department. Planning publicity strategies and campaigns
  2. Analyze and update with the trends in the industry
  3. Writing, editing and distributing news releases to target media
  4. Newspaper tracking and monitoring in defined timeline
  5. Dealing with enquiries and exploring from the media, press, and related organizations
  6. Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations
  7. Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress
  8. Organizing and attending promotional events such as open days, exhibitions, tours and visits. Analyzing media coverages
  9. Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research
  10. Liaison with professional bodies, government authorities and trade associations
  11. Training & development of the PR Team
  12. Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives
  13. Establishing good image of the organization in a periodic manner
  14. Conduct market intelligence and pulse the public opinion about the company to Senior Management

Job Requirements:

  1. Understand the requirement of the company, client and media
  2. Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. Be a good Public Speaker. Content writing (provide samples, presentation skills)
  3. Creative & Initiative taker. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively. Think logically during crisis
  4. Awareness of different media agendas. Writing press releases, press briefings, etc.
  5. Organize and Manage news/press conferences. Deal with feature and regional media
  6. Be aware about the clients competitors and its presence and activities in the market
  7. Produce company's newsletters
  8. Docket Management for each client on monthly basis
  9. Able to do strategic planning. Strong with ideation and story idea generation
  10. Creative & Initiative taker. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively. Think logically during crisis
  11. New Business process participation
  12. Excellent time management

Interview Process: HR interview followed by Department Head & Management

Salary Details: Up to Rs. 4.2 LPA – 5.4 LPA+ performance in the interview + conveyance
