Sales Engineer

IDS is seeking a self-motivated Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in Electronics, Photonics, or Mechatronics. The ideal candidate will excel at identifying new industry opportunities, building international relationships, and facilitating technical collaborations between clients and external contacts. This role requires independent initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with technical stakeholders across global markets.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Photonics, or Mechatronics.

Experience:

• 6–8 years of professional experience in a technical, sales engineering, or industry research role.
• Prior exposure to working or interacting with Dutch or European clients is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market and network research to identify companies involved in fiber optic products, especially in aerospace and aircraft industries.
• Build and nurture industry relationships to connect with professionals experienced in fiber router/coater machines.
• Initiate and coordinate Teams meetings with potential client employees and experts to facilitate technical discussions and presentations.
• Act as a bridge between client experts and external contacts, ensuring smooth information exchange and collaboration.
• Continuously analyze market trends, competitors, and technological developments in the photonics and fiber optics sector.
• Drive independent exploration of new technical opportunities and foster collaborations with industry stakeholders.
